The shrink next door podcast1/28/2024 ![]() Fortunately, if you loved seeing his acting chops at work portraying a new kind of character, you’re in luck. Though he’s an actor viewers usually love for his charm (so much that People casually named him Sexiest Man Alive), Rudd played a very un-Paul-Rudd role in The Shrink Next Door. Her story is just one of many possible plots The Shrink Next Door Season 2 could explore, should it be greenlit by Apple TV+. In a meta twist, she even confronted him about the podcast once she found out she wasn’t the only patient caught up in his twisted practice. In Nocera’s 2020 follow-up, “My Dinner with Ike,” one patient said Herschkopf used elements of her private life in his novel. So there’s not much between them left to explore.īut Herschkopf allegedly manipulated other patients, several of whom were included in a sort of post-script to the original podcast. If you just finished watching The Shrink Next Door, you know that it wraps up Ike and Marty’s fraught relationship pretty conclusively - plus, a text epilogue conveys developments that have happened as recently as 2021 (like, Ike finally losing his license). Here’s everything we know (i.e., some lightly-educated guesses) about the possible plot, cast, release date, and more. 17, is definitively described as the series finale by Apple.) But even if Ike and Marty’s story has run its course, you might still be hoping for a The Shrink Next Door Season 2 that explores more of Ike’s scheming and twisted patient stories.Īpple TV+ hasn’t announced a second installment, but there are plenty of directions The Shrink Next Door Season 2 could go. The show just ended, but will The Shrink Next Door have a second season? The odds aren’t exactly great, simply because this was always billed as a miniseries. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf and Martin “Marty” Markowitz, the patient he manipulated for decades. Based on Joe Nocera’s podcast of the same name, The Shrink Next Door tells the story of real-life psychiatrist Dr. ![]() Any series starring Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell has to be hilarious, right? One would think! But if you watched The Shrink Next Door on Apple TV+, you know that the comedic besties are just as capable of dishing out dark, psychological drama.

Wallpaper stereogram1/28/2024 ![]() Then switch to the skull layer, and with the Select by Color tool in Add mode, add the green skull to the selection. Next, while on the background layer, use the Select by Color tool to select the red dot. On the background layer, I used the Paintbrush tool to place a red dot directly above the skull. I then pasted it as a new layer on the left half of the background. I used this skull silhouette, which I filled in green to help distinguish it from the background. Next, choose a silhouette image that does not contain too much detail and is not wider than one-half the width of your background image. You will be creating two images, one on the left and one on the right. (You may also simply use the image below if you wish.) Take note of the width of the image and the midpoint. If you wish to use color, you can use the Blend tool to create a color gradient in another image or layer, then use the Select by Color tool to select the white space in the random dot image and paste the color gradient into the white space. You may want to increase the contrast so that you have only black and white, and no grey. Open the image in an image manipulation program such as Photoshop or Gimp. The easiest thing to do is take a picture of a TV screen when it is not tuned to a channel. To create a random dot stereogram like this, first you will need a picture of random dots. At that point, you should see a 3D image appear below the dot.Ĭan you see the skull? Do you find it harder or easier to see than the tricycle? Cross your eyes so that each red dot becomes two dots, and then allow the dots closest to the center to overlap and lock into a single red dot. The red dots are included to help you lock the image into place. ![]() Unlike the images above, this stereogram is designed to be viewed cross-eyed, and you will probably not want the image as close to your eyes. Here, I will show you how to create the stereogram below. However, it is also possible to create simple random dot stereograms using image manipulation software such as Photoshop or Gimp. Generally, a stereogram that shows different levels of depth will require software that can determine the location of each pixel using a depth map. The tricycle and airplane stereograms above were created using. Stereograms of moving images are also possible. So instead of seeing a 3D tricycle or airplane, you will see a tricycle or airplane-shaped hole. If they are viewed cross-eyed, by focusing on a point in front of the image, then the effect will be reversed. The stereograms above are designed to be viewed wall-eyed, by allowing your vision to focus on a point behind the image. ![]() Cross-view stereograms are also fun.Īutostereograms can be viewed wall-eyed or cross-eyed. Another type of stereogram consists of two images taken from slightly different angles, viewed through a stereoscope so that each eye sees only one image. The stereograms on this page are autostereograms, which means that they are contained in a single image and do not require a stereoscope to view. The 3D effect is created when your eyes combine the two images. The image above is one type of random dot stereogram, which takes advantage of a chaotic background to allow the mask image to be repeated while still blending in. Notice the illusion of depth, with certain parts of the trike in the foreground and certain parts in the background. Hold the image below close to your eyes and allow your eyes to unfocus slightly until an image pops into view.ĭo you see the tricycle? Once it is in view, you can even move your head slightly to see the 3D image seem to hover in place. The Magic Eye series of books popularized stereograms in the 1990s. This type of stereogram is made simply by repeating images of different widths. (If you cross your eyes instead of allowing them to unfocus, then the gorillas will be in the foreground instead.) If you then slowly move your face further away from the image, the 3D effect is quite vivid. If you hold the image close and allow your eyes to unfocus, the rows of animals should appear to hover at three different depths, with the leopards in the foreground, the parrots in the middle ground, and the gorillas in the background. Stereograms allow you to see a three-dimensional shape while looking at a two-dimensional image.

Mercury capri1/27/2024 As part of the change, the Capri saw revisions to the grille, tail lights, and its rear quarter trim grilles. The previous chrome bumper was reinforced with a steel tube and attached to the frame with shock absorbers (extending the length of the body several inches). For 1974, the V6 was enlarged to 2.8L, as Ford revised castings for both the engine block and cylinder heads.įor 1973, the front bumper underwent a revision to comply with 5-mph bumper standards. As an option, for 1972, Mercury introduced a 2.6L Cologne V6, becoming the first American-market vehicle marketed by Ford Motor Company with a V6 engine. Originally powered by a 1.6L Kent "crossflow" inline-four, the Capri received a 2.0L "OHC" inline. While produced in Germany as a variant of the Ford Cortina, the Capri adopted powertrain commonality with the newly introduced Ford Pinto. the RS or GT - the rectangular lighting did not meet FMVSS 108), grille-mounted turn signals, and side marker lights Rostyle wheels were fitted as standard equipment. In its adaptation to the American market, the Capri saw several minor revisions, with the two rectangular headlights of the Ford Capri replaced by four circular headlamps (shared with some upscale Capri models sold for the European market e.g. the GT, RS, L, XL, and XLR which were trim levels), far smaller than the Mercury Cougar and Montego. Priced at $2,300 at the time of its launch, ($16,049 in 2021 dollars ) the Capri was marketed as an economical sporty coupe (with no upscale trim levels, unlike its European-market variants e.g. While marketed as part of the Mercury model line, the Capri did not carry any divisional identification. Introduced in Europe for 1968 (and designed by Ford of Britain using locally sourced components from the Cortina MkII and Escort with plans dating back to 1964 when the development of a European variant of the Mustang commenced), the Ford Capri was marketed by the Lincoln-Mercury Division starting in April 1970. Minion masters stormbringer deck 20191/27/2024 ![]() I do not usually watch streams, or interact with the non-reddit minion masters community, so I might have the wrong terms, but I wanted to contribute my 2 cents. Combustion puff vs traditional, or by their most prevelant cards, like blood imp volco or shars'rakk twins Ravager. That is why when I talk about certain decks and strategies, I refer to them based on their goal. This can be done off of the level one perk reviving a big minion, or level 2 perk reviving more big minions. There is some arguements with how I define my decks, like where does Mordar fall? Mordar plays big minions or undying skeleton and tries to carry a game quickly with them. Winning off of strong plays that are cheap, and unable to be outvalued.Īny master can try to play any deck, but masters will be better at different strategies. The goal of combos is to get a lot of immediate value, in exchange for a more restictive deck, like how highlander or odd/even decks in Hearthstone work.Ĭontrol would want to win of their third perk or mana frenzy which can be Milloween or Apep. In Minion Masters, combo means making a play that is stronger and more mana efficient at one time like by playing Shas'Rakk twins or Go'Rakk brutes. In traditional combo decks, they win after collecting all their combo pieces and then playing their combo. This is where "Combo" decks will get confused a lot. Most Puff and Stormbringer decks get real value from their level 2 perk and try to win off of repeated plays that abuse the buff. Midrange is a deck archetype which tries to edge value off its level 2 perk, and uses that to carry a victory. Masters like apep, Stormbringer, and Puff do not get the same burst of value with their level 1 perk in order to be an efficient aggro deck. I would argue that decks that want to win early with a big push, like with colossus, troubadour, or brutus, which are more expensive cards but are potent. Volco, Setsu, and Ravager all can suceed in different ways in this regard. Aggro in my mind means winning off of the masters first perk. I will now go more in depth about the terminology and strategy behind each deck, at least the way I mean it. This might seem silly but bridge shrine milloween plays more like a control deck, while spam volco wins early, but both share many cards. I would argue that it is best to judge decks based on when they want to win, not on their cards. The difference is that I consider Ratbo a control master, where his true strength comes from his level 3 perk. Aggro might appear to be low cost aggressive minions, but I would argue that is not aggro, but swarm. I personally use different terminology when talking with my friends and family who play minion masters, because how each strategy works is incredibly different, while still achieving goal. Is control a thing? How do you control in MM? Aggro doesn't really run out of steam, so I'm not really sure HOW control decks operate in this game. You can't run out of cards here, and removal is harder to get value from (at least in my experience so far). I am used to control decks pulling ahead in late-game due to aggro running out of cards, and the ability to out-value with removal and repeated board clears. Combos are smaller (2 cards usually) and repeated, rather than building cycle, stall, and tutor to get off an OTK or some such.Ĭontrol is.different. Easy.Ĭombo decks are a thing, but they play very differently. So, I'm hoping for some info/discussion on how it shakes out over here.Īggro seems to mostly still be what I would expect, low cost aggressive minions and lots of them, with a spell or two to seal a push. Hello! I've played a lot of card games over the years, and I'm realizing very quickly that the nature of this game means the deck archetypes I know aren't necessarily analogous. ![]() You can ask the great Reddit community here or if you want direct contact with BetaDwarf support, send a mail to support ! Cinebench portable1/27/2024 ![]() In Cinebench, you can see the single-core performance coming really close to the 3700X, which matters more in a laptop. The memory configuration of fast 16 GB (dual-channel) at 4266 helps a lot with navigating through the occasional jank. While an actual dedicated GPU would have been nice, that would also almost completely change the target market for the laptop, and no doubt make it more power-hungry while at it. The integrated Radeon graphics is sufficient for content creators on the go. ![]() However, the fact that it even comes anywhere close with its 15W power draw is almost a miracle. That made the experience relatively snappy, but nowhere near its desktop counterparts. I’d often see the chip shoot up to the neighbourhood of 3.5 GHz during bursty-loads, like opening up heavy applications. The 4.2 GHz boost clock is a little ambitious for itself, which it almost never touched during single-core workloads. The chip’s base clock is a little on the lower side at 1.8 GHz, but that’s expected as it is a U-series chip after all, which is built for efficiency. However, since it does have the power, at least you have an option to work on in times of need. 8 cores and 16 threads are mighty enough for any laptop owner, and some of it is actually wasted on a laptop where you probably won’t do any actual production work or gaming on. The laptop comes with AMD’s Ryzen 7 4800U, built on the same Zen 2 greatness that team red dominated the desktop space with in the last couple of years. The Lenovo Ideapad Slim 7 Comes With Windows Hello Facial Recognition for Login The login experience is smooth and fast, and that feeling continues in almost every other aspect of using the laptop. I must confess I’ve never actually used a laptop with Windows Hello, and having used one with it I’ll probably never go back to one without it. Once you do open up the lid the display greets you with Windows Hello login, using the in-built 720p webcam with IR. The laptop is offered as an ‘Ultrabook’ (thin-and-light), yet opening up the lid reminded me of bulky gaming laptops. If I had one real complaint regarding the same, that would be that it’s quite hard to open the lid one-handed. I would have preferred a larger touchpad, which ideally would be less hard to click on, and that’s something that every Windows laptop should take note of. The touchpad was also a little hard to settle into after using the one on the Macbook, although that might be a little unfair. In that lineup, I’d put the Lenovo laptop’s keyboard last. About half of this review was written using the laptop’s keyboard, a third on my Macbook Air and the rest on my desktop’s mechanical keyboard. The keyboard follows the same trend of not being fancy but has good key-travel and a tactile clicky-ness which wouldn’t turn me off from writing on it. ![]() In the land of Windows laptops, the slim 7 is built with competence, with a design that won’t turn heads but function just as it should. I’m currently using a 2020 Macbook Air, and the Lenovo Ideapad Slim 7 in comparison doesn’t stand up to it, but it comes close. Starting off with the build quality, it’s always a little hard to resist the temptation to compare Windows laptops with Macbooks. |
